The Theme Team will provide a strategic focus for discussion, policy formation, collaboration and co-ordinated activity to restore, protect, enhance, develop, promote and manage the natural resources and environment of the region and the activities, jobs, communities they support in a sustainable working countryside.

The Theme Team will focus on the region’s natural resources of:
Land, water, air, wildlife, people and the environment that supports farming, forestry, fisheries, renewable energies, recreation, sporting activities & tourism, interpretation and education.

The main function will be to undertake the key policy and decision making roles of the New Ways A Working Countryside Theme Team with appropriate strategic guidance from the New Ways Project Team
