 Introduction

Thriving Organisations Theme Team (TOTT)

TOTT is constituted such that it is able to operate effectively and advise on demand for, and delivery all forms of business support provided by the public sector in the Scottish Borders.

TOTT’s focus is on 4 aims, to;

• Add value in business
• Innovate in public services (to support businesses)
• Engage new people; and
• Develop new opportunities

TOTT is made up of 14 members, drawn from business (12 across all sectors) and the public sector (2), plus, as required, representatives from the other 5 theme teams. The Federation of Small Business and Scottish Borders Chamber of Commerce are also represented. TOTT meets on a 3 monthly cycle with a wide ranging agenda.

The team looks at specific activities and projects, undertakes research to understand issues better and champions new initiatives relating to above 4 aims, to improve or better coordinate business support services. The Team has developed an Action Plan which is regularly reviewed and refreshed.
