A Brand for the Brilliant Borders

Scottish Borders Brand

WHY?

Those of us who live here agree that the Scottish Borders is a great place but we now need to convey this positive image nationally and internationally. Back in 2003, the New Ways Economic Development Strategy for the Borders identified the creation of a strong regional image as a key priority for economic growth and prosperity. This would help ensure that people in target markets, be it in the context of business or tourism, know where we are, who we are and why we are competitive.

Scottish Borders Brand

WHO?

The New Ways partners have been developing a brand for the Borders that can be used by everyone; from small businesses to large public sector organisations; from voluntary bodies to community groups.

Scottish Borders Brand

WHAT?

The word inspiration is applicable when promoting many aspects of Borders life. However, it can be replaces by a number of other words that reflect what it is you are promoting about the region. The New Ways partners believe this brand sends out a strong message- the tt‘s in Scottish are woven together like our heritage in textiles, our partnership working, our rivers weaving through the landscape.
